In all of the time I’ve been involved with nutrition, I have ran into the same cold truths again and again. The diet industry has been lying to the public. You may be asking why in the world would they do that? The simple truth is if they gave you a quick weight loss system that actually worked you would no longer be a customer would you? The longer the diet companies can keep you overweight the fatter their pockets become.
The fact of the matter is losing weight is a science. There are things that you need to know and things you need to do. Eating $40 bottles of diet pills, starving yourself, and exercising yourself to death are not among those things. The simple truth will floor you.

There is one essential element to weight loss; water. You heard right. Water is the lubricant of your body much like oil is to the engine in your car. Our bodies are made up of 70% water and one of the first things that happens when we start to dehydrate is our bodies start to have difficulty carrying excess fat away from our cells. Without the ability to carry this extra fat await they will instead deposit themselves in our cells causing fat gain.
In addition to carrying the fat away from your cells, water also works to keep hunger at bay. Many times our brains mistake thirst for hunger. The first signs of dehydration will actually fool you into feeling hungry. Most of us abuse our bodies. It’s just a fact of life. One thing we do that is critical to our weight gain is choose sugary drinks instead of water. That sugary drink is not only full of calories but it does very little for actually quenching your thirst. This is why you find yourself constantly getting up to refill that glass of soda.
