Lose Weight and Keep it Off

Lisa gasped as she heard the front door click shut.  John was home from work early and she hadn’t remembered to bring a change of clothes to the shower with her.  As she looked over at her tummy in the mirror she groaned at the thought of her spouse seeing her body.  Lisa hadn’t always felt this way but over the last few years she had gained some weight and the thought of anyone, even her loving husband, seeing her without her clothes on devastated her.  She wanted desperately to find a quick weight loss system that would not only take it off but keep it off.

Does this sound like anyone you know?  Maybe even you?  Life today is very different than it was for our parents and grandparents.  We find ourselves leading busier and more stressful lives than ever before.  Less time means less time to hit the gym.  But lets face it.  Would you really want to hit the gym everyday even if you could?  The whole idea of a quick weight loss system is to lose weight, not work yourself to death.  The best way to do this is to make SMALL sustainable changes in your habits. Allow me to explain.

Lets say that you are accustomed to eating 2,000 calories a day and you decide to lose 25 pounds.  You figure you can starve yourself and get by on 1000 calories a day and lose those 25 pounds in just a few months.  Well, you may be right, but after the 25 pounds comes off, can you maintain that strict 1000 calorie a day diet?  You see, after more than two months of eating that way, your body has been trained to survive off fewer calories and your metabolism has adjusted accordingly.  In other words, you are going to gain those 25 pounds back and probably more.

Now, let’s say that you implement a quick weight loss system that instead allows you to intake 1700 calories a day and exercise less than an hour a week.  You are still cutting calories and you’re still losing weight.  You’re exercising allows you to burn even MORE calories.  And, you are building muscle which means you are actually increasing your metabolism.  Muscle burns fat much more quickly than fat tissue.

I don’t want to water things down too much but those are the simple keys to losing weight and keeping it off.  If you are looking for a quick weight loss system that revolves around easy to maintain techniques that keep the weight off,  I’d suggest checking out Fat Burning Furnace.

Can Genetics Ruin Your Quick Weight Loss System?

This is a question that dieters have been asking for years.  Overweight folks (including myself once upon a time) have blamed failure on genetics for about as long as time itself.  Ever found yourself buying the latest quick weight loss system only to later blame your poor results on genetics?

The truth is genetics do play a role in weight loss and overall results you may achieve from any system but probably not as much as you think.  Results are determined more by your actions than anything else.  There are some universal truths in life.  Action begets results.

Stick with me here…  Whether you are trying to lose weight, start a business, quit smoking, or whatever,  you have to have a plan to do so.  If you just decide one day you want to drop 15 pounds but don’t have a plan what do you  think your chances of success are?  The answer is almost none.  If your quick weight loss system include distinct goals then you are going to be forced to hold yourself accountable.

Here is what you want to do.  Go ahead and tell as many people as will listen about your quick weight loss plans and then make a calendar for yourself.  On your calendar mark out specific dates.  Lets say for example you want to lose 20 pounds before summer so you can feel good about your self at the pool.  Come up with a plan that you can follow without starving yourself.  If you’re starving yourself eventually you’ll do damage to your metabolism.  So lets say you have four months until summer.  Four months consists of roughly 17 weeks.  So 20 pounds divided by 17 weeks is 1.18 pounds a week.  There are 3500 calories in one pound.

So use this formula:  (weeks) / (lbs) = {a} —>  {a} x 3500 = calories you need to burn each week—>(calories) / 7 days = Calories you need to cut

For our example:  (20 weeks) / (17 lbs) = 1.18   —->  1.18 x 3500 = 4130 calories —->  4130/7 = Cut 590 calories a day

This is a very basic formula you can follow.  It does not take into account exercise or many other factors but the big keys to any quick weight loss system are a) consistent focus and b) consistent action.  With those two things you can achieve anything you set your mind to.

Rob does a really good job of breaking these formulas down in his Fat Burning Furnace System. He’ll also show you how you can accelerate your weight loss goals while exercising only 45 minutes a week!

Unlocking your body’s fat burning potential…

In all of the time I’ve been involved with nutrition, I have ran into the same cold truths again and again.  The diet industry has been lying to the public.  You may be asking why in the world would they do that?  The simple truth is if they gave you a quick weight loss system that actually worked you would no longer be a customer would you?  The longer the diet companies can keep you overweight the fatter their pockets become.

The fact of the matter is losing weight is a science.  There are things that you need to know and things you need to do.  Eating $40 bottles of diet pills, starving yourself, and exercising yourself to death are not among those things.  The simple truth will floor you.

So you want a quick weight loss system?  Ok, here goes.

There is one essential element to weight loss; water.  You heard right.  Water is the lubricant of your body much like oil is to the engine in your car.  Our bodies are made up of 70% water and one of the first things that happens when we start to dehydrate is our bodies start to have difficulty carrying excess fat away from our cells.  Without the ability to carry this extra fat await they will instead deposit themselves in our cells causing fat gain.

In addition to carrying the fat away from your cells, water also works to keep hunger at bay.  Many times our brains mistake thirst for hunger.  The first signs of dehydration will actually fool you into feeling hungry.  Most of us abuse our bodies.  It’s just a fact of life. One thing we do that is critical to our weight gain is choose sugary drinks instead of water.  That sugary drink is not only full of calories but it does very little for actually quenching your thirst.  This is why you find yourself constantly getting up to refill that glass of soda.
